Columbia homes come to us for three cleans before anything else: deep, recurring and one-time standard. Carpet care, the line most often added to a Columbia quote, sits right behind them with the rest of the list.

Bedroom carpet and stair treads in the townhome rows collect what a vacuum only moves around. The most frequently added line on a Columbia quote.

Renovated kitchens and finished basements leave a fine powder behind the trades. It comes back twice before it is gone, and the visit plans for that.

Workplaces in the business parks get a quote of their own. Maryland counts that work as commercial cleaning for sales tax, which a house never is.

Nathalia Medeiros started Quick Cleaning Services in Gaithersburg in 2016 and has run it ever since. It is a women-owned, locally operated company, not a marketplace that passes your booking to whoever is free that morning.
For a town as varied as Columbia, that continuity is practical. A team that has already worked through a 1970s split-level knows it does not clean like a five-year-old townhouse, and does not need to be told twice.
The basics are fixed wherever the address is: insurance and bonding in place, a background check on every cleaner, and a free return if you flag a problem within a day of the visit. The about page covers how the company grew.
Lifted word for word from Google. The profile does not sort reviewers by town, so these speak for the standard of work in general and not for Columbia in particular.

How many floors, how many bathrooms, and how long since the last proper clean. Those three answers produce the figure.
Get Your Free EstimateColumbia homes differ wildly from one village to the next. These six things are identical at every one of them.
The company carries insurance and a bond and will email the documents. Ask for them before the first visit, from us and from anyone else quoting.
A background check is completed on each cleaner before they work alone in a client’s home. No exceptions for busy weeks.
Report any area inside 24 hours and it is cleaned again without charge. The guarantee is that simple and has no small print.
Split-levels, townhouses and ranchers each get their own sequence, their own priorities and the products their surfaces can take.
Since 2016 the team has worked through enough original bathrooms and carpeted stairs to know where the time really goes.
On a recurring plan the checklist stays put from visit to visit, so results do not swing with whoever happens to be on the rota.
Give us the layout, the number of bathrooms and whether upstairs is carpeted. In a townhouse those three details move the quote more than square footage does.
A fixed amount for the visit comes back, generally by the following working day. It does not change if the stairs slow the team down.
They turn up as arranged, equipped, and work the plan agreed. Anything overlooked can be raised for a day afterwards and is redone without a fee.
No competitor is named and none is implied. This is simply the list of things households tell us they assumed were included elsewhere and were not.

Taken at real Maryland properties the team cleaned. They are examples of the finish, not a claim that each one is a Columbia address.

The map is centered on town. Everything pinned around it is on a regular route, at the price the same house would get anywhere else.
Stairs. A home spread over three narrow floors has more edges, more corners, more landings and a lot more carrying than the same square footage laid flat. Equipment goes up and down instead of across. It is the commonest surprise in a town built on townhome rows, and it is in the quote from the start, never added later.
Cleaner, yes. New, no, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something. Decades of grout staining is partly dirt and partly the grout itself having changed color for good. A deep clean takes out everything that is dirt and stops there, which is usually a bigger difference than people expect and never the difference a renovation makes.
Not on its own. The county’s checklist does say the unit must be clean and sanitary when the inspector arrives, and a turnover clean takes care of that part. Most of the list, though, is alarms, dates and documentation, which is not cleaning work and which we do not touch. Leave the hardware to the same week as the clean and you risk being caught out by it.
Yes, along with Clarksville, Fulton, Savage, Highland, Marriottsville, Lisbon, Woodbine and Laurel. Ellicott City has a page of its own, and the others sit on the Howard County page. One rate card covers all of them.
They can be booked together and are quoted as two lines, because they are two jobs. Carpet work needs its own equipment and leaves fiber damp for a while afterwards, so it is sequenced instead of squeezed in. In a carpeted townhouse the pairing is common enough to be worth asking about when you request the estimate.
Before, every time, and it is not close. An empty place lets us reach inside cabinets, behind appliances and across closet floors that will be unreachable in a week. Once the boxes are in, the same visit becomes cleaning around obstacles, which costs the same and achieves less.
Quick Cleaning Services LLC offers house cleaning in Columbia, MD as part of its Howard County route, working out of Gaithersburg and serving Maryland households since 2016. Ellicott City, Elkridge, Clarksville and Laurel sit on the same schedule, and each job is priced as one fixed amount per visit, never on an hourly clock. Two guides help before the first booking: how often a Columbia home needs a deep cleaning and what to expect from your first cleaning.
Columbia went up in phases, so its housing is a timeline you can drive through. The earliest villages have compact kitchens, tiled baths and sliding doors, and their wear is concentrated in joints and tracks. Later rows are taller and carpeted. The newest homes are open, hard-floored and easy to keep. A quote that ignores which of the three it is looking at will be wrong in one direction or the other, which is why the estimate form asks about age and layout.
Height. Three stories of narrow rooms mean three sets of stairs, more skirting, more door frames and repeated trips carrying equipment between levels. The floor area can match a single-level house exactly and still take noticeably longer. Carpeted bedrooms add to it, which is why carpet cleaning is requested here more than in any other town on the route.
Start with a deep clean if nobody can remember the last top-to-bottom clean, and with a regular visit if the townhome is already in shape. When the need is a single visit before family arrives, a one-time standard cleaning covers it without a schedule.
Three floors of stairs, carpeted bedrooms upstairs and a kitchen that does most of the work are where the difference shows. A deep cleaning brings the grout, the baseboards and the stove surround back to a starting line. From there a regular cleaning every one, two or four weeks costs less each time, because the team is maintaining the house instead of recovering it. A one-time standard cleaning suits the townhome that only needs one visit.
The county’s Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits publishes a new rental housing inspection checklist, and prints a caution across the top: it is merely a guide containing the most commonly failed items and is not an all-inclusive list. The items it leads with are smoke alarms, which must be on every level, inside each bedroom and in the hallway outside the bedrooms, and no more than ten years old by the manufacture date on the back.
No, although cleanliness is part of it. The checklist states that the living unit must be clean and sanitary when the inspector arrives, which is where move-out cleaning earns its place: appliance interiors, cabinet shelves, bathroom joints and window tracks. The larger share of the list is hardware. Battery-only smoke alarms have to be swapped for sealed ten-year units, and hardwired alarms replaced with hardwired ones. That work is not cleaning and we do not do it, so settle it first and book the clean for afterwards.
Yes. According to the Comptroller of Maryland, charges for cleaning commercial and industrial buildings carry the state’s 6 percent sales and use tax, and a commercial building is any building or part of one not used as a permanent private residence. A suite in one of the business parks is taxed on that basis. A family home in the villages is not.
While it is empty. With no furniture in the way the team can reach closet floors, the wall behind the fridge and the insides of every cupboard. Sellers tend to book just before photographs, buyers just before the removal van, and both get more from the visit than they would a week later.
Columbia is the busiest stop in the county for the team, and the route runs well past it: east to Elkridge and Savage, south to Fulton and Laurel, west through Clarksville to Lisbon and Woodbine. Send the address with your request for an estimate and you will know the same day whether it is on the round.
